Join Our Dance Community

Our Dance Studio offers a large variety of dance classes for all skill levels. Our experienced instructors are passionate about helping each dancer achieve their highest potential, while also having as much fun as possible. Have a look at our class schedule below to find the one that best fits your needs.

Class Descriptions

 

Acro Dance I II III 

Classes are designed to develop muscle and body awareness while building flexibility, muscle and core strength. Students will enhance their dance skills by learning and mastering tumbling stunts appropriate for competitive dance. 

 

Ballet I II III IV

Classes designed for dancers building from beginning to level ballet classes. These classes are designed to teach basic skills in a progressive curriculum that advances dancers through each level. Expectations for performance and knowledge of terminology and skill increases over time.

 

Lyrical/Contemporary

Classes designed for students advancing in ballet. Instruction focuses on expressive and creative choreography to contemporary music. Ballet prerequisite required.

 

Jazz I II III IV

Classes designed for dancers building from beginning to level jazz. Classes will be infused with exciting rhythms, steps, and music while teaching jazz technique, patterns, and combinations across the floor. Choreography and routines will be performed in the annual recital.

 

Tap I II III IV

Classes are designed to teach rhythm, patterns, foot coordination, and complex step combinations. Students will be introduced and expected to know tap terminology and various styles of tap.

 

Hip-Hop I II III

Exciting, fun, heart-pumping classes…Hip-hop is based on the most current, popular trends of dance. Emphasizes body isolation, footwork, rhythm, and complex choreography to the most beats and mixes of music.

 

Hula/Polynesian Dance 

Classes are designed to teach basic steps and dances of Polynesian cultures to include: Hawaii, Tahiti, and New Zealand (Maori). The goal of these classes is to instill an appreciation for these cultures through dance.

 

Competition Teams

 Our studio sponsors competitive dance teams as a goal for students as they progress. These teams are by invitation only and tryouts are held before the new season. Our Dance Director selects competitions that our dancers will attend. These competitions are usually held between October and April. 

 

X-Treme 

This team consists of our youngest advanced dancers and represents DancExpo, Inc. as the premiere mini competitive team. Specific team requirements for attendance, costumes, and performance apply.

X-Cel 

This team consists of our junior advanced dancers and represents DancExpo, Inc. as the premiere junior competitive team. Specific team requirements for attendance, costumes, and performance apply.

 

X-Factor (Tour Team)

This team consists of our senior advanced dancers and represents DancExpo, Inc. as our premiere competitive and tour team. This team will participate in major competitions and performances. As a Tour Team, our Dance Director presents options for this team to compete across the nation. This gives our senior team exposure and experience for opportunities at the next level of dance. Specific team requirements for attendance, costumes, and performance apply.
